New Staff Orientation Live Binder

Welcome to OCDEL Early Head Start Staff! This orientation process is one that offers foundational resources, skills, and strategies to educators in Early Head Start classrooms. The high quality and well thought out content learned here will be the starting point for you to continue your work in the classroom and grow as an educator. 

This orientation is designed for you to partner with your coach to complete and reflect on the activities outlined in the course work. The content is password protected. Please reach out to your coach for access.

Level 1 Coaching

 

For those pursuing the coaching process, the journey begins with Level 1. The resources within this tier highlight foundational strategies for ECE educators. Resources provided center around learning outcomes, family resources, curriculum, standards, trauma informed approaches, teacher zoning, and teacher talk. Before accessing content in this level, consult with your designated EHS coach.

Level 2 Coaching

Level 2 of the coaching process contains resources that are highlight tools and materials that build on content knowledge attained in Level 1. This level supports foundational strategies for all educators in the ECE classroom. Resources provided center around learning outcomes, environment, trauma informed approaches, family partnerships, curriculum implementation, screening, assessment and planning.  Before accessing content in this level, consult with your designated EHS coach.

Level 3 Coaching

The resources that are apart Level 3 of the coaching process highlight tools and materials that build on nuances of levels 1 and 2. Resources provided here center around theoretical practices, professional development, trauma informed approaches, dual language learners, IEPs, and family partnerships.  Before accessing content in this level, consult with your designated EHS coach.
